WBN Scholarship Fund
Supporting Tomorrow's Leaders
The WBN Scholarship Fund is more than financial support—it's an investment in the dreams and ambitions of tomorrow's women business leaders. We want to empower women who are passionate about making a difference in the world of business.
The fund provides resources to help talented women pursue their studies, develop their leadership skills, and contribute to vibrant business communities. By supporting the next generation, we are shaping a brighter and more inclusive future for all.
History of the WBN Scholarship Fund
Since 1987, the WBN Scholarship Fund has been committed to empowering future women business leaders through partnerships with Ottawa's prestigious academic institutions. Over the years, the fund has supported recipients at the University of Ottawa, Carleton University, and Algonquin College.
Scholarship awards are distributed annually, recognizing outstanding students enrolled in programs such as Business Administration, Commerce, and Management Studies. These funds open doors for students from diverse backgrounds to pursue academic excellence and leadership development.
The WBN is proud to have nearly 40 years of supporting women students as part of our legacy. Since 1991, our scholarship fund has awarded more than 90 future leaders more than $125,000 in scholarships.
Why support women students?
Supporting students is essential because they are tomorrow's leaders, innovators, and changemakers. By investing in their education and development, we help them gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to make meaningful contributions to the business world. When we empower these students, we foster diversity, creativity, and resilience, qualities that will ultimately drive progress and positive transformation in the organizations and communities they contribute to in the future.
The WBN Scholarship Fund celebrates diversity and encourages women to reach their full potential.

Special thanks to the WBN Scholarship Sponsor
Baker Tilly Ottawa has been a longtime supporter of the Women’s Business Network, most importantly because WBN celebrates women in business doing incredible work in our community. We were proud to celebrate Baker Tilly Partner, Rosa Iuliano, who was honoured with the Businesswoman of the Year award in 2015, and Principal Tracey Pagé who was named a finalist in 2010.
Another important reason to support the WBN, is their ability to provide women business leaders, especially those just starting out, with programs, networking opportunities, and well-deserved recognition to strengthen their skills, create opportunities through new relationships, and put a spotlight on their outstanding business and community accomplishments.
The WBN Scholarship Fund is administered by the Ottawa Community Foundation. Visit their website to learn more about their work or make a donation to the WBN Scholarship Fund.
