This post has been writing itself in my head since 4 a.m. so clearly it needs to get out.

To quote my friend Rocky Balboa; “It’s not how hard you can hit, it’s how hard you get hit, and keep moving forward.”

Sometimes life throws you a punch. Sometimes you can see it coming and you duck and weave, other times it hits you right between the eyes. Last night, surrounded by all the amazing women at the AGM that Karen Wilson called her peeps, reminded me that I am not alone in the struggles of life. Listening to the panel of past BYA winners talk about their challenges, their fears and their accomplishments was just what the doctor ordered. True inspiration. Thank you.

I am a big believer that the universe is constantly nudging us forward, to challenge us to grow, to help us become better people, to help us change the world in our own way. The key is to notice the nudges, and act. I have met some pretty amazing ladies, whom the universe put in my path. They have and continue to help me along my way. There are too many to mention, but you know who you are. Thank you.

So to the new members or members who haven’t reached out and soaked up all of this inspiration — jump in and take advantage of all the strength, determination, valuable life lessons, and inspiration that members have to offer. It takes a village, and we, the WBN, are your village. I urge you to look around you at the ladies in this group and you will find so much inspiration you won’t know what to do with it all.

Thank you to the hard working ladies that organized the AGM. It was a wonderful evening.

If anyone of you wonderful ladies ever want to meet for coffee and share your stories with me, I would love that.
