March 6th is International Women’s Day. It is not a day about asserting the superiority of one gender over the over. It is a day when women are recognized for achievements without regard to a person’s nationality, ethnicity, cultural, economic or political differences. It is an occasion to look ahead to the untapped potential and opportunities that await future generations of women.
As part of the celebration of International Women’s Day, the WBN celebrates the greatness of nine women who are the finalists for the Businesswoman of the Year Award. They have been chosen as finalists because each person has accomplished greatness in their career and inspired others to be successful. Each woman has taken the step of completing a 10 page submission to describe their success and allowed themselves and their business to be judged by others. That is the greatest accomplishment of them all.
Come meet the nine finalists on March 11, 2015 at the Cocktail Reception at OBI, 183 Colonnade Road South and find out who is named at the Recipient of the Businesswoman of the Year Award in the Professional, Entrepreneur and Company category on April 23 at the Shaw Center, 55 Colonel By Drive. At the Cocktail Reception, I look forward to the chance to speak with each of the finalists and to learn what gave each one of them their drive to succeed in their chosen industry.
